Tristan began dancing in middle school, and continued his formal training in contemporary movement forms at the University of Minnesota. After completing his BA in Dance in 2010, he began performing and touring extensively with many artists and companies, including Zenon Dance Company, Doug Varone and Dancers, ARENA Dances, Chris Schlichting, Vanessa Anspaugh, Morgan Thorson, and luciana achugar.

 

Tristan has taught extensively throughout the country to all ages and levels of contemporary dance training, including at Gibney Dance in NYC, SUNY Brockport, Minnesota State University-Mankato, and Bates Dance Festival, where he currently serves as Co-Director for the Young Dancers Workshop.  Additionally, Tristan helped facilitate K-12 creative movement education throughout pubic schools in Minnesota during his tenure with Zenon Dance Company from 2011-2015.
